You will love the balance of salty and sweet to this soy and maple glazed salmon, and the depth of flavor the maple syrup offers. Not only is the salmon marinated in the maple-soy mixture, but it is also boiled and reduced after marinating to a thicker glaze.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together maple syrup, soy sauce, and garlic. Place salmon into a sealable storage bag and pour the mixture into the bag.
Allow the salmon to marinate for at least 3 hours, rotating salmon every hour.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Spray a 9 by 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray then transfer marinated salmon into dish with all the marinade. Bake in preheated oven until salmon is cooked through, about 15 minutes.
Serve salmon warm with 1 Tbsp of the maple soy glaze drizzled over top and black pepper and green onions if desired.
